One of the best ways to experience the magic of Trinidad’s world heritage sites is through a horseback riding food tour that takes you deep into this Cuban town’s plantations. Enjoy the warm weather, the scenic views, and your horse’s company as you gallop through Trinidad’s green fields. Mid-way in your journey to the waterfall, you will find yourself at the sugar cane plantations where you will be greeted by local workers who will teach you how to make the sugar cane juice and hand you a fresh cup of your fruit’s labour to enjoy!
A short horse ride after that, you will find yourself in the midst of a coffee plantation where a local worker will grind freshly roasted coffee beans and prepare a cup of coffee for you while entertaining you with traditional Cuban songs. Your next stop is a much-needed half hour at the waterfall where you can relax, take a dip in the cool water, or even lounge on the rocks. The rest of the tour includes a sumptuous lunch on the way back to town with your choice of a meat, pork, fish or vegetarian Cuban dish.
