We learned of the St Thomas Food Tour at a welcome reception at the Marriott Vacation Club at Frenchman's Cove. We did not have anything planned for the next day and we had been looking for something to 'taste' additional restaurant options in St Thomas. This turned out to be an excellent option. The tour is a walking tour of downtown St Thomas and we visited 4 local favorites for a fairly large 'bite' sampling at each place. These were very well known St Thomas places, not some new places that wanted tour attention. Since the choices may change I don't want to specifically state which ones, but it did include the 'G' restaurant and the 'C' restaurant. Any food guide to the best St Thomas restaurants will let you know which ones they are. We also visited with one of the more well known folk artists in St Thomas. The tour ended with a sampling of a Bushwacker, a St Thomas signature drink, at a popular bar/grill. Aslin was very knowledgeable and has clearly worked with the local restaurants to provide a very nice tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommended it to the Cove staff who themselves had been waiting to hear from folks who took the tour. We took the morning tour, but they also have late afternoon tours.

I knew that a tour that combined food AND my favorite Caribbean island couldn't disappoint me! But this experience far exceeded my expectations. I'm not big on history, so I originally thought that the time between the food stops wouldn't interest me. The tour guide delivered the information in such a casual, interesting way that I never felt bored. I actually enjoyed learning about the island's rich history just as much as I loved eating and drinking my way through the tour! My favorite stop: E's Garden Tea House. We'll definitely be back
