Terms and Conditions of Service
Effective Date: November 22, 2025
Welcome to Tastecapade Inc. (referred to as "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide ticketing and booking services for various culinary experiences worldwide, including food tours, cooking classes, and supper club events (collectively, "Experiences").
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our booking platform and your participation in any Experience facilitated by us. By purchasing a ticket or participating in an Experience, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Booking, Confirmation, and Pricing
1.1. Pricing and Currency: All Experience prices are listed on our website in the applicable currency. Prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. 1.2. Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once we have received full payment and you have received a confirmation email and ticket from us. 1.3. Ticket Transfer: Tickets are generally non-transferable. Any request to transfer a ticket must be made in writing and is subject to our sole discretion. 1.4. Minimum Participation: Some Experiences may require a minimum number of participants to proceed. If this minimum is not met, the Company reserves the right to cancel the Experience (see Section 3).
2. Specific Service Disclaimers
2.1. Food Tours
- Pacing and Route: Tours proceed at a reasonable pace for the group. Participants are responsible for keeping up with the guide. Routes and included tastings are subject to change based on vendor availability or operational necessity.
- Weather: Tours run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the local weather conditions. Tours will only be cancelled in the event of extreme and dangerous weather conditions, as determined by the Company.
2.2. Cooking Classes
- Safety and Instruction: Participants acknowledge that they will be using kitchen equipment, including knives and heat sources. Participants must follow all instructions given by the chef/instructor immediately and fully.
- Waiver: By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the cooking class, including the risk of injury, burns, or property damage.
2.3. Supper Clubs and Pop-up Events
- Venue and Chef Changes: Due to the nature of pop-up or exclusive events, the venue, specific chef, or menu items may change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will endeavor to provide an equivalent experience.
- Seating: Seating arrangements (communal vs. private tables) are determined by the venue and the nature of the event and are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the Experience description.
3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Amendments (Partner-Specific Policy)
3.1. Event-Specific Policies: Cancellation, refund, and amendment policies are set by the independent Partner/Host for each individual Experience and are not determined by Tastecapade Inc. 3.2. Where to Find the Policy: The specific cancellation and refund terms applicable to your booking are clearly detailed on the Experience booking page before purchase and are included in your confirmation email. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the Partner's specific cancellation policy. 3.3. Request Process: All cancellation or amendment requests must be submitted in writing via email to the Company (info@tastecapade.com). We will process the request according to the specific Partner's policy applicable to your booking. 3.4. Company Cancellation: If the Company is forced to cancel an Experience for operational reasons (e.g., the partner cancels, minimum participant numbers are not met), you will be offered a full refund or a credit for a future booking, subject to the Partner's final decision. 3.5. Force Majeure: The Company is not liable for cancellation, delay, or inability to perform due to acts of God, war, riot, acts of terrorism, epidemic, pandemic, or other events outside our reasonable control. In such cases, refunds or credit notes will be issued strictly in accordance with the specific Partner's policy.
4. Dietary Restrictions and Allergies
4.1. Participant Responsibility: You must inform us of any and all dietary restrictions, allergies, or intolerances at the time of booking. 4.2. Best Efforts: While we communicate restrictions to vendors/chefs, we cannot guarantee that every dietary need can be accommodated, particularly in shared kitchen environments or multi-stop food tours. 4.3. Cross-Contamination: Participants acknowledge that the venues, kitchens, and food vendors visited often handle common allergens (nuts, gluten, dairy, etc.). The Company, our partners, and the hosts cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Participation is at your own risk.
5. Participant Conduct and Responsibility
5.1. Appropriate Conduct: Participants must behave in a respectful and responsible manner toward guides, instructors, partners, and other participants. We reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive, abusive, or acts in a manner that endangers others, without refund. 5.2. Alcohol Consumption: Participants are responsible for their own alcohol consumption. If any participant is deemed to be excessively intoxicated by the guide or host, the Company reserves the right to refuse service and/or remove the participant from the Experience without refund. 5.3. Legal Compliance: Participants must comply with all local laws and regulations, especially regarding minimum drinking ages in the host country.
6. Intellectual Property and Marketing
6.1. Content Use: You grant the Company and its partners the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, and distribute any photographs, videos, or other media taken of you during an Experience for promotional or marketing purposes, including on social media, without compensation. 6.2. Proprietary Content: All recipes, course materials, and training content provided during cooking classes are the proprietary intellectual property of the chef/instructor or the Company and may not be reproduced or distributed without explicit written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Company acts solely as an agent in booking Experiences with third-party vendors (chefs, restaurants, guides). We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience caused by any failure of a third-party vendor or by any other cause beyond our direct control. Our maximum liability, for any claim arising from a confirmed booking, is strictly limited to the total price paid for the ticket.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your participation in the Experiences shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. You agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
